WARRANTY INFORMATION

(Warranty Information for Lighting Products ONLY)

Every piece is made to order, by hand, in our Nashville studio — and we stand behind the work. Below are the full terms of our limited warranty. If anything ever isn't right, reach out; we want you to enjoy your piece for a long time.

COVERAGE

We warrant each piece against defects in material and workmanship under normal residential use:

Integrated LED components — three (3) years from the date of delivery.

All other components — one (1) year from the date of delivery.

If a covered defect is found, we will, at our option, repair or replace the affected piece or component at no charge. This is the purchaser's sole and exclusive remedy. This warranty applies to the original purchaser, with valid proof of purchase, and is not transferable.

INSPECTION & CLAIMS

Please inspect your piece within 10 business days of delivery. In the event of a material defect or shipping damage, contact us within that window with photographs of the item and its packaging so we can arrange a repair or replacement.

To make a claim, email info@eebrownleatherworks.com with your name, order number or Piece No., a description of the issue, and photographs.

WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

Natural variation in color, grain, and texture in wood and leather, and the darkening, patina, and softening that leather develops with age and light. These are inherent to natural materials and are not defects.

Normal wear from age and use.

Damage from improper handling, storage, assembly, cleaning, or care.

Damage from modification, accident, misuse, abuse, or neglect.

Damage from exposure to moisture, direct sunlight, or heat.

Conditions resulting from any use for which the piece was not designed.

Labor, installation, or removal costs.

COMMERCIAL USE

Each piece is designed for indoor residential use. If you intend to install a piece in a commercial setting — hospitality, retail, office, or public space — please let us know in writing at the time of purchase so we can confirm suitability. Pieces placed into commercial use without written confirmation from the studio are not covered by this warranty.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The repair-or-replacement remedy described above is the purchaser's sole and exclusive remedy and sets forth our entire obligation regarding our products.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all other warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent any implied warranties cannot be disclaimed under applicable consumer protection laws (including the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act), such implied warranties are limited in duration to the duration of our express written warranty.

In no event shall E.E. Brown Leatherworks be liable for any commercial or economic incidental, consequential, special, or indirect damages—including but not limited to lost profits or business interruption—arising from or related to our products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price of the product giving rise to the claim.

Some states or jurisdictions, including certain provisions under Tennessee law, do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

CARE

Dust with a soft, dry cloth, or a feather duster. Avoid leather conditioners, solvents, and cleaning products. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. Leather will darken and develop patina with time — this is expected, and part of how the material ages.
